Every issue of the magazine is divided into 3 sections. The first section - Collective - presents a selection of stories, short articles, opinions and art works. The second section - Idea - consists of a leading essay, providing a thorough, comprehensive review on the issue’s subject. The final section - Ma’arag (contexture) - is a long, experimental piece, creating interesting dialogues between texts and images. The magazine does not present a unified narrative, but rather examines each subject from various aspects and angels, through the works of young writers and artists from around the world.
Idea, the second section of Idea magazine, is a comprehensive essay on the issue’s subject, printed in a smaller format, attached with a band and therefore removable. Unlike the free, informal atmosphere of rest of the magazine, this section provides an academic approach, hence presented in a format that can stand on its own, and be separated from the main issue.
